Foundations For Beginners

This is a foundations class built for beginning students or any yoga student that wants to visit the key details in asana (the physical practice). Principles of yoga including pranayama (breathing techniques), asana (physical postures), meditation and basics of vinyasa.  This is a series of 4 classes that repeat to provide the details of yoga that are important for beginners.  Learn Ujjaii Breath, proper distance in standing poses, sun salutations, etc.  Bring you "beginner's mind".

Yoga Mat Chair

Chair yoga adapts traditional yoga poses so that they can be done with a chair for support, making yoga more accessible for people who cannot stand for long periods or find it difficult to get up and down off the floor. This sequence of chair poses can be used for home practice.

If you are new to the practice of yoga you can come to this class as well. All of us had to start, all of us were beginners.

Yoga Mat Hatha

This classical yoga class cultivates deeper awareness of the poses, attention to alignment, understanding of breathing techniques, and exploration of the mind as well as of the body. Hatha Yoga is the most widely practiced form of yoga in the world. Hatha Yoga uses postures (asana) and conscious breathing (Pranayama) in combination with mental focus to develop awareness, strength and flexibility, relaxation, mindfulness, and joy in the yoga poses. Great for beginning students; everyone had a first class!!

Yoga Mat Basic Flow & Beyond

Vinyasa (FLOW) is a term that covers a broad range of yoga classes. The word Vinyasa means “breath-synchronized movement.” In other words, the teacher will instruct you to move from one pose to the next on an inhale or an exhale. This technique is sometimes also called Vinyasa Flow, or just Flow because of the smooth way that the poses run together and become like a dance. Bring your practice and move BEYOND!

Yoga Mat Intermediate Flow

In Intermediate Flow, less instruction is offered and asana poses may be a bit more advanced than Yoga Mat Basic Flow & Beyond, yet alternatives are always offered.

Yoga Mat Intermediate Flow WARM

Here we practice intermediate Vinyasa Flow in a warm studio heated to 80 degress.   In Intermediate Flow, less instruction is offered and asana poses may be a bit more advanced than Yoga Mat Flow, yet alternatives are always offered.

Yoga Mat Power Flow

In Power class, get yourself moving into poses with ease and grace. Flow to connect with your breathe and your movement focusing on building strength and flexiblity. Always honor yourself and remember you can regroup with child pose and your breath, but you must let go of the ego to explore!

Yoga Mat Power Flow HEAT!

 Temperature remains between 85-90 degrees. We recommend you bring a towel and water for this class.

This calorie-scorching workout fuses power yoga with cardio-intensive tribal dance and body sculpting primal movement. Created by celebrity trainer Bizzie Gold, Buti Yoga utilizes the Spiral Structure Technique to sculpt and tone the deep abdominal mucles that stabilize and strengthen the body. Instead of linear movements, Gold favors movements that challenge the body along all planes of motion. Classes are challenging and welcome all levels; no experience necessary!

Restorative is a way to reap the benefits of slowing the heart rate, quiet the brain, relax the muscles, and calm the mind. Come learn how to relax and restore body and mind.

Flow to Yin

We begin with a gentle warm up flow to lead into some longer 2-3 minute holds to stimulate the fascial layer of the body and noting the effect of stillness in the body and mind.

Yoga Mat Meditation

Here you will learn various mindfulness meditation techniques. "Ehipassiko" - Come and see with gentle curiosity.
