Kristen Hanna comes to The Yoga Mat having been introduced to yoga by her momma, who has taught for 18 years in St. Louis. 'Ever since I can remember, I have had this gift all around me, which I am so grateful for'. Blossoming into womanhood, she discovered different nuances within her practice; as she was changing, she observed the transformative nature of a yoga practice ~ its ability to stay an entire lifetime, moving her through life's many circumstances. Yoga is limitless in the way it heals both physically and emotionally.
During this progression, she wanted to share with others. She studied under Emery Bryant and since, she has attended conferences on 'gratitude in yoga' and completed an intensive study on human anatomy. Teaching yoga has taken her to Costa Rica, and she hopes that there will be future opportunities to travel and spread the practice to more people around the world. While she enjoys teaching vinyasa flow, she wants to continue branching out, studying more, and learning from the wonderful teachers around her!
When she is not on the mat, she might be making organic sugar scrubs, enjoying time with her partner, writing, or looking for new adventures around town.
Kristen wants to extend an enormous THANK YOU to The Yoga Mat and all its teachers for giving her a home in the Panhandle to grow, play, and connect.
